Who We Are

AsiliNova is a civil and structural engineering consultancy headquartered in Kigali, Rwanda. The company was founded with a clear mission: to deliver technically rigorous, professionally managed engineering solutions that raise the bar for construction quality across East Africa.

Our founding team brings professional experience from both East African and European engineering environments, giving us a rare combination of local contextual knowledge and internationally recognised technical expertise. We understand Rwanda's regulatory landscape, its climate and terrain, and the unique challenges of delivering projects in the region.

The name AsiliNova reflects our philosophy — asili meaning "origin" or "essence" in Swahili, and nova meaning "new" — capturing our commitment to building on strong foundations while embracing innovation and progress.

We believe engineering should be both technically excellent and practically useful. Every project we take on receives careful attention to structural safety, buildability, and long-term performance. Phase 1
Basic Evaluation
Initial site and project assessment — understanding the brief, site constraints, ground conditions, and regulatory context to establish a solid foundation for the project.

Phase 2
Preliminary Planning
Outline structural scheme developed — key structural systems identified, preliminary sizing carried out, and initial cost estimates prepared for client review and approval.

Phase 3
Design Planning
Full structural calculations carried out, detailed structural drawings produced, specifications written, and the complete design package assembled for the next stage.

Phase 4
Approval Planning
Submission of structural drawings and reports to the relevant authorities for building permit approval. Liaison with regulatory bodies and coordination with the architectural and MEP teams.

Phase 5
Implementation Planning
Construction-stage drawings issued, contractor queries resolved, site inspections carried out, and sign-off provided on completed structural works — ensuring what was designed is what is built.
